Improve Senior Living for Your Loved One in Arizona

At the Mission at Agua Fria, our residents are like family.

At the Mission at Agua Fria, our residents are like family. We care for them deeply. So we understand how much your loved one must mean to you. That’s why we want to help improve senior living in Arizona for you and your family.

Oftentimes, people equate senior living with assisted living. But there’s so much more to it than that. Improving senior living means going beyond simply caring for your loved one’s physical needs. The team at the Mission at Agua Fria believes in caring for needs holistically. We believe in tending not only the body but also the mind and spirit. Here’s what you can expect during your loved one’s stay with us.

Quality Healthcare

The well-being of your loved one begins with how well they feel. We understand that and provide a range of care services based on your loved one’s individual needs. At the Mission at Agua Fria, we pride ourselves on delivering to our residents the assistance they need along with the independence they desire. We treat our residents the way they deserve to be treated, ensuring they receive quality care along with the utmost respect.

In addition to quality healthcare administered by our on-site staff, we also provide personalized care plans tailored to each resident’s specific needs. Prior to moving in, our licensed nurse will conduct an initial assessment to help us determine your senior’s personal history, interests, and preferences so that we may craft the perfect care plan for them.

Our assisted living services include a complete line of personal care features, such as assistance with dressing, bathing, continence, mobility, and daily meals and activities. We provide weekly housekeeping and linen service as well. If your loved one needs memory care services, we also have an activities program that will address your loved one’s intellectual, physical, and spiritual needs.

We even provide support services for you, their caretaker. We understand how important family is to our residents. So when you choose senior living at the Mission at Agua Fria, we’ll be here for you just like we are for our residents.

Safety

As we get older, it becomes more difficult for us to get around. Even if we haven’t reached senior status just yet, we may notice that our bones and muscles ache more than they did before. That’s why safety is a top priority for us. One slip or fall could cause a major injury. That’s something we do our very best to avoid through a variety of safety features and precautionary measures.

Each of our apartments is safe, comfortable, and secure. Some of the built-in safety features include a walk- or wheel-in shower with grab bars, emergency response pull cords, and an emergency pendant. If your loved one has an emergency in the middle of the night, they will be able to alert us immediately, and our around-the-clock care team will be ready to answer the call.

Companionship

When a new resident comes to stay with us, we understand it may initially be a difficult transition. This may be the first time they have ever stayed at an assisted living community. But that doesn’t mean they ever have to feel alone. At the Mission at Agua Fria, we do our very best to foster a sense of belonging and inclusivity. We want everyone who stays with us to feel welcome and at home.

One way we do that is through enrichment programs that promote engagement and recognize the unique abilities and interests of each of our residents. We also have a large, enclosed outdoor courtyard with walkways so residents can take a leisurely stroll and strike up a conversation with a neighbor, regardless of the weather. Some of our other community features include a theater, gym, beauty salon, and game room so that each resident has an opportunity to socialize with others.

In addition to all we offer on-site, we also believe in the importance of getting out and about in order to maintain an active lifestyle. To help our residents do this, we plan frequent social outings, events, and cultural and recreational programs. We also offer restaurant-style dining so that our residents can gather around the dinner table just as they would at their own homes.

There will be no shortage of social excursions at the Mission at Agua Fria. We want to make sure your loved one can make the most of senior living in Arizona by exploring all the area has to offer. We are also a pet-friendly community, so if your family member has a four-legged friend, they’re welcome to stay here as well.

Happiness

Just as important as physical well-being is your loved one’s emotional and mental well-being. As we mentioned before, we take a holistic healthcare approach, caring for the mind, body, and spirit. We find that stimulating the emotional and mental needs of our residents increases levels of happiness, and in turn, positive attitudes can help improve overall health.

For example, a Yale study found that older individuals with a positive self-perception of aging lived an average of seven and a half years longer than those without a positive outlook. That’s why at the Mission at Agua Fria we do our best to help each resident make positive social connections, remain active, and make the most of senior living here in beautiful Arizona.

At the Mission at Agua Fria, we want to make each resident’s retirement as special as possible. With quality healthcare, social excursions, enrichment programs that encourage the involvement of each of our residents, and a state-of-the-art secure environment, your loved one will continue to feel active and fulfilled throughout their golden years. That’s not simply our goal here … it’s our mission and our promise.
