What Are the Financial Solutions for Assisted Living at the Central Phoenix Community?

At BridgeWater Assisted Living, we have a central Phoenix community location that may just be the one for you. This community is in downtown Phoenix, right off Indian School Road on 3rd Avenue. Our Midtown Phoenix community is a seven-story community that has views of the beautiful mountains and is surrounded by many downtown activities, giving residents the best of both worlds.

If you are considering our community in central Phoenix, we are glad to hear it. We also understand that you may have some financial concerns, as the cost of assisted living can be high. Because of that, we are proud to offer financial solutions to help make senior living affordable for you or your loved one.

Medicaid and Arizona’s Long-Term Care System (ALTCS)

Not every state accepts Medicaid, but Arizona does, and our Midtown Phoenix community is Medicaid-certified. If you qualify, you can utilize Arizona’s Long-Term Care System, better known as ALTCS, to help pay for your stay in our community. ALTCS was created to help those over the age of 65 to pay for long-term care needs. Eligibility is based on both a financial need and a medical need. To figure out whether you are eligible or not, here is a beneficial information sheet. Please keep in mind that the application process takes about 60 days.

Veteran’s Pension Benefits

In addition to Medicaid, our central Phoenix community also accepts Veteran’s pension benefits. If you are a wartime veteran or the surviving spouse of a wartime veteran, you may be eligible for VA pension benefits through the Aid and Attendance benefit. It is a tax-free benefit. A veteran and spouse can receive up to $2,230 monthly, a single veteran can receive up to $1,881 monthly, and a surviving spouse who qualifies can receive up to $1,209 monthly. We encourage you to connect with the VA to see if you are eligible and can utilize this great resource.

Income Qualified Opportunities

BridgeWater Assisted Living is proud to offer income-qualified opportunities for our residents. This means that if your income is under $2,420 a month and you need daily assistance in your life, you qualify. Once this is confirmed, you just need to fill out an application, and the paperwork will be submitted for verification. We have a community benefits advocate that can help with the process. Plus, we don’t charge community fees, and our apartment rents and care rates are already quite low.

As you can see, there are many financial solutions available for assisted living in the central Phoenix community. Our trained and compassionate community benefits advocates are happy to discuss this more with you and figure out if you qualify for any of these solutions. Please contact us today to learn more. There is no need to let the cost of senior living stop you from joining a community like ours here at Midtown Phoenix.
