What Benefits Will I Have While Living in a BridgeWater Community?

Starting the next chapter of your life can be scary. It’s a big decision as to where you are going to live and age. That’s why it’s important to choose a community that works for you, your needs, and your family.

At BridgeWater, we know everyone deserves a great retirement. We want to support all of our residents and especially their desire to continue living their lives the way they want to live to the best of their own abilities. Our residents and their families have the freedom to make their own decisions and choices, and we respect that. We help guide our seniors through the options and only help where it’s needed.

We have modern, beautiful, and well-kept communities for our residents to live in and enjoy. Within these communities, we have all the services residents could need or want, including many activities and outings to fill their free time.

It’s important to choose a community that meets all the needs of both the resident and their family. When you’re looking for a community for yourself or a loved one, doing thorough research is important, as is learning the benefits of the communities you’re looking into. Living at BridgeWater, you will have access to many benefits. Here are some of them.

All in One Place

One thing we’re proud of is that we have independent living, assisted living, and memory care all through BridgeWater communities. This means that seniors are able to progress through care in one place. We know that not every senior will need all three levels of care, but they’re available if needed. Living at BridgeWater and having access to this care offers peace of mind and makes life easier for our residents and their families. You won’t need to move from one place to another and get used to a new community—you can remain in the community that you have made friends in, are comfortable in, and already call home.

As older adults age, it can be harder for them to adjust to new places, and by having all three levels of care within one community, that concern is not an issue. Plus, the staff and nurses will already know you and your family, which makes a difference. Your family, and most especially your resident, won’t have to start over, which could be detrimental to the resident’s well-being.

Equilibrium Memory Care Program

At BridgeWater, we use our exclusive activities program, Equilibrium, which benefits all residents, including those who are experiencing cognitive decline. This method is a proactive approach that uses a combination of mindfulness, music, art, and cognitive therapies. We have found that this has created positive health and wellness outcomes. This program has helped to keep our residents’ bodies more active, their minds more engaged, and their spirits and attitudes positive.

In addition to this, we provide real-time feedback to both our residents and their families on how effective the program is for them. Equilibrium is meant to stimulate the brain. By doing this, we can measure how each of our residents is feeling each day. In turn, we can adjust our therapies and activities based on this data to achieve ultimate satisfaction and maximum functioning.

Rent Controlled

We understand that senior living can be expensive, and we want to help ease this burden. At BridgeWater, we offer modern and upscale housing that won’t break the bank. We have an income-qualified housing option and are able to do this by using the federal tax-credit program.

At BridgeWater, our community benefits advocate works directly with potential residents and their families. This way, we can determine together if seniors meet the income-qualified requirements. To qualify, a resident (or couple) cannot receive an income that is more than 60 percent of the median income of the area.

All the Amenities You Need

One thing you should keep in mind when choosing a senior living community is the amenities. It’s beneficial to have everything you may need in one place, without having to venture off the campus. At BridgeWater, we have on-site wellness and therapy centers that our residents can use whenever they need them. We also have community dining rooms where our chefs prepare delicious and nutritious meals three times a day, seven days a week. For even more fun, we have happy hours for our residents to enjoy, as well as various social activities for everyone to participate in. There are also regularly scheduled shopping and outing trips that our residents can sign up for if they would like to enjoy the beautiful surrounding area.

In terms of upkeep to the apartments of our residents, we guarantee maintenance-free living and weekly housekeeping and linen services. For those residents who need it, the rooms are equipped with emergency call pendants.

Choosing BridgeWater

Living at BridgeWater will provide you and your family with a sense of community, loyalty, and all-around ease. As you progress through older adulthood, we have all the services you may need in one place, making transitioning easier. If you’re unsure which level of care you need from the beginning, our community care team is here to help. We will collect the health history of the (potential), resident as well as current care information. We’ll then use this information, paired with a healthcare evaluation, to determine the correct level of care.
