By offering two types of care, we make things easier for residents and their loved ones. If your loved one begins in assisted living but eventually needs memory care, they are already part of the Mission at Agua Fria senior living community and won’t need to be moved or learn a new community. Here is a closer look at the assisted living and memory care services offered at the Mission at Agua Fria.
Assisted Living
In our assisted living community, we want our residents to maintain their independence as much as they can. This means we personally assess each of our residents and provide them only with the assistance that they need. We make sure to promote independence as much as we can and assist with any daily activities that our residents need help with. This can include bathing, dressing, eating, medication management, and much more. Plus, our assisted living community not only provides safety and security, but it also provides educational opportunities, medical oversight, socialization, and nutritious meals.
The apartments in our assisted living community are all private. We offer four different floor plans for one-bedroom apartments. Some of these even have kitchenettes for those residents who want the option to cook for themselves. All apartments include a walk- or wheel-in shower that has grab bars, a spacious bathroom, an emergency pendant, emergency response cords, and ample closet space.
Memory Care
We understand that residents struggling with Alzheimer’s disease or other types of dementia need a special, personal type of care. Our staff is certified, licensed, and trained to properly provide care and support for our memory care residents. We also provide memory care programs within this community that incorporate sensory integration, music therapy, art therapy, and pet therapy, as well as a state-of-the-art exercise program.
Our memory care community is conveniently located on the ground floor of the Mission at Agua Fria’s senior living community. This friendly neighborhood also has an activity room, dining room, dedicated nurses’ station, open lounge, and large central gathering room.
The apartments in the memory care community are all private and ADA accessible. All apartments have walk- or wheel-in showers, grab bars, emergency response pull cords, a spacious bathroom, and ample closet space. There is also 24-hour care staff on-site and many other services, including apartment maintenance, weekly housekeeping, cable, daily trash removal, and personal laundry and linen service.
